Cryo-Thermo Reactor Stuart Gene-Tech SPRC1

Programmable temperature cycler for the amplification of DNA and denaturing, annealing and extension sequencing operations Built-in heating and Peltier thermo-electric cooling modules provide control of temperature over the range 4 to 99°C. The life expectancy of Peltier modules depends to a great extent to the degree of thermal shock experienced In the Gene-Tech the Peltier modules are used only for cooling and are removed from the hotplate at temperatures above ambient. Thus thermal shock is minimised and life expectancy is greatly enhanced.

The Gene-Tech has the display screen and keypad set at the optimum angle for user comfort and the user-friendly LCD display provides menu prompts during programming. The screen provides the following information:

Elapsed time from the beginning of a cycle
Actual temperature
Temperature status (increasing, decreasing or steady state)
Cycle status (last and next time/temperature segment)
Cycle number in the program
Program number

Programs can be linked e.g. giving an infinite number of cycles or finishing at a steady state temperature. For ease of programming 40 programs are dedicated to achieving maximum rate of change of temperature, up or down; only dwell times need to be specified The unit accepts 40 x 1 5ml micro centrifuge tubes and an adaptor block is available for 96-well microtitre plates .

Programmable temperature cycler designed to fulfil the need for the fast processing of a small number of samples. The unit will accept 32-well microtitre plates, 32 x 0-2ml tubes or 15 x 0 5ml tubes.

Cryo-Thermostore Stuart SCH 1

A self-contained thermoelectrically cooled bath providing a temperature- controlled chamber in the range 20 to 40 C. Temperature is controlled by a platinum resistance sensor and is digitally displayed. The chamber is provided with a hinged cover and a second uncontrolled chamber allows storage of tubes, tube racks and samples to be brought to room temcerature
